KEEPING UP THE MOMENTUM

I hope everyone is coming out of a magically beautiful Valentine's Day Weekend whether you shared love with others or for yourself!

I can't help but to extend myself some love, because if you look at my website’s ABOUT CW page, and scroll down to the PREVIOUS EXHIBITIONS section, you will see that my list of exhibitions has grown considerably in the past year! With last year’s roll out of ROADKILL, coupled with a revamp in my digital presence, I feel like I have accepted a more radically authentic version of myself that is capable of resonating with, and impacting others who seek a brighter future and deep connection to their lived experience. Click the image below to see my full list of exhibitions!

But for now, CABIN FEVER feels like another natural step towards the latter. If you haven’t got your tickets to attend, follow the link HERE to get yours!:

Even if you cannot attend, you can still bid on my painting MILE MARKER 31 below RIGHT NOW!

The bidding will close at 10pm on February 21st:

ALL ABOUT THE ROADKILL COLLECTION

~ PAINTING BY PAINTING

In my last newsletter I was able to share more information about the symbolism behind MILE MARKER 31. I thought I’d keep the ball rolling and give more background into each of my paintings from ROADKILL. This will be a two parter, highlighting 3 more paintings in this newsletter, and the rest of the collection in the following letter.

MILE MARKER 7

A rhinoceros stands within a stark white arena marked by the bars of another cage. A ticking hourglass denoting time is running out. The creature occupies the sterile margins between the asphalt street and emptiness, trapped by visible barriers among the systematic elimination of savanna, migration routes, and everywhere else that once existed beyond the need to measure and partition.

MILE MARKER 23

Squeezed. An elephant pushed by symbols of disembodied humanity. A pointing hand on one side and a generic human profile on the other lends this monumental creature uncomfortable and vulnerable. Caught in a geometry of human intention where a collision of identities has replaced habitat. Dominance as design while wildness is reduced to an object of thought.

I hope to see you all CABIN FEVER this SATURDAY!
